Living the territory

Points of interest

The Park territory is rich in natural, landscape and historical-artistic resources, many of which are open to the public and can be visited.
The particular genesis and geography of the Euganean Hills encourages both the presence of different natural environments and human settlement; the latter, over the centuries, has been possible thanks to the richness of the materials present in the area and to the possibility of exploiting its characteristics for an agriculture that is unique, if compared to the surrounding plain.
The geomorphological conformation of the hills has also always been ideal for the settlement of military fortifications, isolated religious sites and noble dwellings plunged into the peace of nature.
The evidence present today, alternating with natural sites of great value, include archaeological sites dating back to the Neolithic period, ancient walled cities and castles, noble villas with historic gardens unique in Italy, and places of worship such as hermitages and abbeys. In addition to these, over time numerous museums, dedicated to the history of the territory and the culture of the local populations have been inaugurated.
