Jujube Fruits

Traditional Agri-Foodstuffs

In Colli Euganei, in particular in the Municipality of Arquà Petrarca, the jujube tree is cultivated in almost every garden and its fruits are one of the best known and most celebrated distinguishing features of this territory. The Jujube Festival is a traditional appointment held on the first and second Sunday of October in the setting of the town of Arquà Petrarca, with tasting activities and stands with local handicrafts.
Worth a mention is the famous characteristic liquor called "brodo di Giuggiole", as well as jam and syrups prepared with this delicious small fruit.
